New Zealand’s carpentry apprentices went head-to-head at the Registered Master Builders CARTERS Apprentice of the Year Regional Competition in June to see who will be named top of their region.
The practical challenges, held at CARTERS stores across the country, drew in attentive crowds and celebrated the future leaders of the construction industry. Participants were challenged to build a bench seat this year, with some impressive entries showing their salt.
Finalists from each region will be announced at their respective award ceremonies, with the first-placed winner from each region going on to compete in the two-day national competition in November.
Who will take the keys of the CARTERS-sponsored ute off last year’s winner, Auckland’s Jack Nevines?
