The NZ Institute of Building’s annual conference showcased a broad cross-section of Institute members, with overseas guests providing a wide lens to the world of Kiwi construction and how we can up our productivity game.

An opportunity to focus on both big-picture strategic issues and dive deeply into practical solutions, tricks, tips, and lessons learned, the CARTERS-sponsored showcase focused on 3 Ps: People, Performance and Productivity. Keynote speakers included New South Wales Building Commission's David Chandler, Bridget White, of Warren and Mahoney, who has recently returned from Norway, and Dyann Stewart of DPS Consulting.

Productivity panels discussed encouraging next gen participation in construction, with rich discussions around the use of new tech to improve productivity and performance. A Next Round table discussions on topics from communications for team performance to accessing the right tools, flexible work skills to procurement had the conference hall buzzing. Expert-filled panels led conversations on digital productivity, people and performance, and a Gen Quick-fire ignited the audience, providing plenty of engaging conversation among participants in the conference hall and beyond.
