Welcome to 2026! We hope you managed to down-tools for a bit and take a break to enjoy spending time with family and friends over the holidays. January is always a great chance to refresh and refocus for the year ahead.

At CARTERS, we’re excited to start off with an update and share the news with you that Craig Banfield has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer for the business following Mike Guy’s resignation late last year.

For the past five years, Craig has been CARTERS Chief Operating Officer. During this time, he’s been involved in all aspects of CARTERS operations, overseen manufacturing, along with other key innovation and technology initiatives. Prior to this, Craig held a number of senior finance roles across the Carter Holt Harvey Group, including five years as CARTERS Chief Financial Officer.

With an in-depth knowledge of both the industry and the business, Craig says he is “very excited about the opportunity to lead CARTERS.” He is keen to make sure we are delivering a world-class service to our dedicated trade customers.

A MESSAGE FROM CRAIG

“My focus is to ensure that CARTERS is providing a best-in-class customer experience for our building partners. By continuing to deliver great trade service, manufactured solutions and trusted products you are familiar with, I want to make sure we grow through continuous improvement for an even better partnership. For me, it’s about looking after our building partners and making sure they feel valued.”

“I really appreciate and want to thank our customers for their loyalty – it’s not something to be taken for granted. Building has been tough lately, but what our customers create for the future of our country is pretty special. I’m looking forward to delivering the service they deserve and building success alongside them in the future.”

“Thank you to our supply partners and the CARTERS team too. Recognising the efforts they put in to support our building partners, I feel is equally important. These teams help make sure things run smoothly every day, and I feel incredibly privileged to lead such a dynamic and passionate team at CARTERS.”

“I wish everyone all the best for a successful 2026 and future ahead as we partner together.”
