Kiwis in construction have been getting powered up this winter at a series of CARTERS events across the country, with support from The Rock and Melanoma New Zealand.
Tool deals were unleashed, tunes pumped, and lives were potentially saved at this year’s CARTERS Power Up events.
As well as the annual specials on power tools and accessories, fixings and fasteners, The Rock brought sounds and Melanoma New Zealand carried out spot checks at selected CARTERS branches around the country.
The series of 46 Power Up trade events across NZ in August and September, allowed customers to chat with suppliers like Makita, HiKOKI and DeWalt and check out all the tools on offer as well as take advantage of skin cancer spot checks in partnership with Melanoma New Zealand at 10 locations.
From the spot checks conducted, 13% were found to be suspicious lesions, and of those 21% were suspected melanomas.
