From Africa to Norway - our world of advantages!

1 October 2025

Out-of-this-world experiences awaited Advantage members on the recent CARTERS trip – an adventure to Africa.

From the wonders of the African wilderness to the neon glow of the Northern Lights, CARTERS is proud that, for over 25 years, its Advantage trips have been providing customers with out of this world experiences.

This winter,185 intrepid CARTERS customers came together for a truly unforgettable travel adventure to Africa. In July, Advantage customers flew to Johannesburg to begin a trip of a lifetime across four countries in six days.

Travelling first to Zambia, guests were welcomed by CARTERS Chief Executive Mike Guy following a picture-perfect cruise down the Zambezi River at sunset, complete with elephant, crocodiles and hippo sightings on the banks of the river. Excursion excellence ensued!

Split into two travel groups, next destinations were Botswana and Zimbabwe, with guests experiencing safari drives up close with amazing African wildlife, a vintage train ride complete with James Hardie-sponsored luxury dining experience, a ‘Flight of the Angels’ helicopter ride to view Victoria Falls from the air, shopping locally produced crafts at the markets, and enjoying a GIB-sponsored exquisite dinner at the revered Baines restaurant upstream on the river bank from the majestic Victoria Falls.

Guests were able to choose from a selection of superb activities including in-water experiences at Livingstone Island - to feel the power of the falls firsthand, enjoy horse riding, quad biking, elephant interactions, go fishing for tiger fish in the Zambezi River and take part in remote village tours, where customers donated items to locals.

Rare sightings of ‘The Big Five’ wild African animals provided guests with everlasting memories. Experiencing a traditional boma dinner around a fire, under the stars, was another magical moment for all. Jeeps transported the travelling group into the middle of the African bush for this never-to-be-forgotten experience. Set to the sounds of a tribal choir, the outdoor evening saw guests guarded from wild animals while they celebrated from sunset into the festoon light-illuminated night – a truly magical experience curated uniquely for CARTERS.

CARTERS Marketing General Manager Hayley Reid was key to the trip’s organisation.

“Our Advantage trips have always been very special. We're proud to have been running them for over 25 years, now, and have taken customers to some incredible destinations,” she says.

She urges customers to sign up for CARTERS Advantage for year-round benefits if they qualify to join the programme, and to act quickly on upcoming trip opportunities. “Numbers for our Advantage trips are often limited, so members should get in early to secure a place to the really hot destinations and bespoke holiday experiences we offer.”

Next up is Norway, where snow-capped mountains meet the sea, fjords are there to be explored and the breathtaking beauty of the Northern Lights illuminate the Arctic Circle. Don’t delay if you want in on this enchanting European winter spectacle in December 2026 – it's almost full.

And wait, there’s more! An incredible journey through Ireland is set to supply more Advantage trip heaven in 2027.
